Class II biosafety cabinet is not only designed to provide protection for operators, but also to protect the test objects on the working table from air pollution flowing into the cabinet. It can also provide protection for the environment. It is suitable for moderate risk testing. According to NSF/ANSI49 (2002), it can be divided into four types. Its characteristics are as follows:

Class III biosafety cabinet is the most dangerous biological safety level 3 or 4 test equipment. It is a fully enclosed cabinet. Its air supply is filtered by HEPA filter, and its exhaust is filtered by two HEPA filters. The inside is always in a negative pressure state. Only rubber gloves connected to the safety cabinet can extend to the working area for operation.
